J.R. Constance & Associates is a Clinical Laboratory Management Consulting company specializing in providing consulting services for hospital or health system based laboratories in a variety of areas.

J.R. Constance, MHA, MLS(ASCP)CM, the President of J.R. Constance & Associates, is a clinical laboratory scientist with many years of experience in the clinical laboratory arena. He has worked in a variety of hospital settings, ranging from large university hospitals to small 25-bed critical access hospitals. J.R. has held positions ranging from bench tech and laboratory supervisor through laboratory director and outreach support director, and as interim direc9tor of Ancillary Services for a 250 bed district hospital in California with responsibilities for Laboratory Services, Diagnostic Imaging and Mammography, and Rehab Services. His most recent interim engagement was as Interim Regional Director of Laboratory Operations for Trinity Health Of New England, with responsibility for four laboratories in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

J.R. is very active professionally and is a Past President of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS), the pre-eminent laboratory professional organization representing over 9000 laboratory professionals nationwide. He is also a member of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association.
